Welcome to a year of fitness and fun!

This information is intended to acquaint you with the policies and procedures of the Camelot P.E. Department:

Health Information

We want to keep your child healthy and safe so please inform the clinic assistant of any medical conditions (i.e. - asthma, allergies, heart conditions, seizures, diabetes, etc.) that we should be aware of.

Medical Excuses

All students are required to participate in P.E. With a PARENT'S NOTE a student may be excused up to THREE days. A DOCTOR'S NOTE is required for FOUR OR MORE days. Please have the note include the nature of the illness, degree of participation allowed, if any, and the duration of the excuse. At the termination of a serious illness or injury, please send a doctor or parent note granting permission to resume participation.

Clothing

Please refer to the specials schedule for your child's P.E. days. Children should wear clothing that allows them to move freely. Dresses and skirts are not recommended for P.E. days.

Shoes

Per the student code of conduct:

Shoes shall be worn at all times and should be safe for the school environment. The following shoes are not acceptable for any OCPS student: cleated shoes or shoes with wheels.

"Special Event Days"

Please send in a change of shoes if necessary for events such as picture days, field trips, etc. If you are unsure of the schedule, students should dress as if they would be going to P.E.

Water Bottles

Students are encouraged to bring water bottles with them to P.E. For safety reasons all bottles must be plastic and contain ONLY water. Plain water will not attract ants so children with severe allergic reactions to insect bites remain safe. Please write your child's name on the bottle.
