Music Teacher

We have lots of exciting musical things going on at Camelot!

In music class, our students will discover the joys of music through singing, dancing, instrument-playing, composing, story-telling, and much more! Every student will learn to play pitched and un-pitched percussion instruments, and we will learn about a variety of composers & music history from cultures all around the world!

Our older students also have the chance to engage in extracurricular music-making opportunities! Our performing arts clubs include the Rising Music Makers, Royal Music Makers, and Camelot Drama Club.  Students involved in these extracurricular music activities will have several concerts/performances throughout the year and help us to represent Camelot in our community!

A well-rounded music education is vital for all children. Research shows that students involved in a music activity score significantly better on standardized tests and college entry exams and have enhanced abstract reasoning skills. Our music classroom will also aim to increase whole-brain learning, social-emotional learning, multi-cultural understanding, cooperative learning, self-confidence, and school community!

How can you help? Donations are not necessary but are always appreciated; instruments and music are quite expensive. Your donations will help our students reach a new level of quality music education. If you are interested in making a donation or helping our music classes, please contact me!

I’m looking forward to a great year of music-making with our Camelot Knights!

Please feel free to email or call me with questions. Sincerely, Madison Schafer [email protected] 407-207-3875 ext. 4322259
