We are gearing up for one of the most joyful traditions of our school year, House Sorting Day! This Friday, Sept. 11, all students who are new to Camelot will officially be sorted into their House, joining a team that will cheer with them, celebrate with them, and help build a strong sense of belonging throughout the year. Students who are already part of Camelot will remain in their current House.
To make the day even more spirited, we’re asking all students to come dressed in their House color or House shirt Friday. New students will receive their very first House shirt during the sorting celebration. If your child needs a replacement or an additional shirt, they can be purchased through SchoolCash.

🎉 We Reached Our Attendance Goal! Thank you, Camelot families! Because of your commitment to getting students to school every day, our school achieved our goal of a 96% attendance rate in August, setting a strong foundation for student success.
We would like to recognize some of our attendance champions: ⭐ 4th Grade earned the highest grade-level attendance average with an impressive 97% attendance rate! ⭐ Mrs. Tan's 5th Grade Homeroom achieved a remarkable 99% attendance rate, demonstrating exceptional commitment to being present and ready to learn each day.
These accomplishments matter because every school day provides valuable opportunities for students to learn, collaborate, and grow. Consistent attendance helps students stay on track academically while building important social and problem-solving skills.

As a reminder, if your child is absent, please be sure to submit an attendance note to your child's teacher or email documentation directly to camelot_es@ocps.net. Prompt communication helps us maintain accurate attendance records and better support our students.
Remember: Missing just two days per month can add up to 18 days of missed instruction during the school year. Every day counts, and every student matters.
💡 Tip: Try tracking your child’s attendance on a home calendar. Visualizing those consecutive days of attendance can be a great source of pride for your student and can help build positive attendance habits throughout the year!

Media Center Access We have added thousands of new books to our media shelves and we can't wait to get the books into the hands of our students. Students will begin visiting the media center the first week of September. Check with your child's teacher in regards to their weekly library day.
As we prepare for our year in the media center, we want to remind you that OCPS supports family preferences regarding student reading materials. While our library media center is fully available to help students explore a wide variety of books and resources, we recognize that families have different comfort levels. Parents always have the option to customize their child's media center access at any time. Whether you prefer open access or specific boundaries, the choice is available to you. If you wish to review or update your preferences, the library access form can be found within your Skyward account under the "Custom Forms" section. No action is required if you are comfortable with your student's full access to the school’s curated, data-driven collection of library books and ebooks. Thank you for your continued partnership. Dear Families, As we continue through the school year, we want to ensure you have quick, direct access to your child’s academic progress. Results from the FAST (Florida Assessment of Student Thinking) state assessments are available to view online through the Skyward Parent Portal. 📌 Step-by-Step Instructions to View Your Student's Scores You can access your student's Individual Student Reports (ISRs) directly through Skyward using the Cambium Assessment Single Sign-On link. Step 1: Log in to Skyward - Visit your district's Skyward Family Access login page on a web browser or tablet.
- Enter your parent/guardian username and password to log in. (If you do not have a login, please contact our main office for assistance.)
Step 2: Access the Assessment Portal - Once logged in, look for the Cambium Assessment Single Sign-On tile/link in the upper-right section of your dashboard.
- Clicking this button will automatically log you into the Florida Statewide Assessments Family Portal without requiring a separate access code.
Step 3: View & Filter Score Reports - Once inside the Family Portal, you will see a list of your child’s current assessment results (including VPK–2 Star Early Literacy/Reading/Math and Grades 3–10 ELA & Math).
- To see previous years or earlier test windows: Ensure the option “Show All Tests for School Year” is toggled ON, or select a different school year from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
- Click on the specific test name to view, download, or print a copy of your student's detailed report.
💡 Quick Tips & Important Reminders - Multiple Students? If you have more than one student enrolled, ensure you select the correct child's name in Skyward before clicking the assessment link.
- Score Release Timeline: Scores for ELA and Mathematics are generally available in the portal within 1 to 2 business days after your student completes their assessment.
- Understanding the Scores: The report provides details on your student's overall performance level, achievement progress across progress monitoring windows (PM1, PM2, and PM3), and specific skill breakdown areas.

If you have a student in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade, the following performing arts clubs are available: -Rising Music Makers (3rd/4th) -Royal Music Makers (4th/5th) -Drama Club (3rd-5th, selected by audition)
Students have now had the opportunity to take a form for all of the above clubs during their weekly music class if they were interested.
If your student was absent from music class, forgot to take a form, or is in strings class and does not attend music class, they can stop by the 1st grade hallway in the morning to get a form.
Rising Music Maker & Royal Music Maker forms are due by end-of-day on Friday, September 11th. Drama Club audition applications are due by end-of-day on Monday, September 21st.

Grade 4 students were challenged with building a Tropical Tower weather station (model) that could withstand hurricane force winds (fan). The teamwork and creativity of each class was AMAZING! Way to Go!

Camelot was selected by 4Roots Farm to participate in the Fall 2026 Seedlings4Schools program, sponsored by Massey Services!
We will receive FREE seedlings to plant for a fall garden that will be planted and maintained by students in Grade 3. Way to Go! Thank you 4Roots and Massey Services for making this happen! |
